GENEVA- After the end of the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip; which lasted 50 days, leaving hundreds of victims, most of them women and children, thousands wounded, tens of thousands of displaced and demolished homes, a common agreement has been reached between the parties which includes a comprehensive cease-fire began at seven pm on Tuesday 26 August 2014.

According to the documentation done by the Euro-Med Observer for Human Rights teams, which worked throughout the conflict, it seems the situation in the Gaza Strip is disastrous, and it was clear that the Israeli army has severly practised revenge policy on civilians in the Gaza Strip; this can be most evident in the mass killings of the unarmed population in their homes, what is a flagrant violation of international law and human rights conventions.

According to the final statistics prepared by the Euro-Med Observer for Human Rights  to the total number of victims reached 2,147 martyrs, including 530 children, 302 women, and 23 people from the medical staff,  16 journalists, and 11 people from the agency, "UNRWA" UN staff.

According the statistics documented by the observatory, it seems that the date of 08.01.2014 has witnessd the largest percentage in the number of killed Palestinians, where their number reached 152 Palestinians, while the day of 29/07/2014 comes in the second place where the number of killed Palestinian was 145, and after that comes the Day of 30/7/2014 in which 143 people were killed.

The number of the wounded throughout the war 10870 injured whom their injuries range between moderate, minor and serious. The injuries include 3303 children and 2101 woman. Preliminary statistics show that at least 1,000 children will suffer from permanent disability.

As for the number of attacks carried out by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip during the war, bringing the 8210 rocket attack, and maritime missile attack 15.736, and 36.718 attack with artillery shells.

The Euro-Med stated in its statistic that the Israeli armed forces did not take the necessary measures to protect civilians, and launched on indiscriminate attacks their property in many cases, and this has led to the destruction of 17 132 houses, of which 2,465 homes were destroyed completely, and 14 667 houses destroyed partially, in addition to the 39,500 homes damaged. Israeli attacks also caused the destruction of 171 mosques, 62 of them destroyed completely, and 109 partially.

The the Euro-Medsaid that thenumber of homeless due to the demolition of their homes exceeded 100,000 people.

At the level of civil society and the economic loss, as the Euro-Medestimated the total direct and indirect economic losses suffered by the economic sector in the Gaza Strip by about 3 billion and $ 6 million. According to the observer, the occupation targeted nine water treatment plants, 18 electrical facilities, 19 financial and banking institutions, 372 industrial and commercial enterprises, in addition to targeting 55 fishing boat, 10 hospitals, 19 health centers, and 36 ambulances. The number of targeted schools was 222 schools, including 141 government schools, 76 UNRWA Schools, and 5 private schools. The total number of targeted universities is six universities, and the number of targeted charities 48 Association which provide social and relief services to more than two hundred thousand people. Also, the occupation targeted an electricity generating station.

At the closing statement, the Euro-Med Observer called on the international community and the countries of the world to the active work for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and building what the war destroyed. It stressed on the need for the Palestinian Authority to join the International Criminal Court as soon as possible, to ensure some sort of justice and hold criminals accountable for the disastrous war that appear clear through these statistics.
