Rowad Community Development Association has distributed dozens of fresh vegetable baskets, which include variety of vegetable types, on some of the poor and needy families in Gaza city. This initiative was funded by some generous philanthropists from Germany.

Mohammed Abo Sido, the executive manager of the association, said that this initiative has targeted the frontier areas in the northwest of Gaza city in order to support the steadfastness of the marginalized poor in this area. He pointed out that these baskets include various types of fresh vegetables that are essentially needed in every house.

Additionally, he underscored that the aim of these baskets is to help the poor families in securing part of the necessary food needed for their children and therefore realizing the food security for the poor and marginalized people.

Abo Sido pointed out that the association tries its best to serve all the needy families  in order to alleviate the increasing poverty in the Gazan society as a result of the imposed siege which has led to the deterioration of the commercial situation of many families there.

He also thanked the philanthropists of Germany for standing beside the People of Palestine , and urges them at the same time to continue donating for Palestine as a means of breaking the siege imposed on Palestinians.

From their part, the beneficiaries expressed their full thank and gratitude for Rowad association and the donors for all their support they grant specially in the current hard conditions they undergo.
