Under the auspices of the Minister of Women’s Affairs Dr.Haifaa Alagha, Rowad Society for Social Development organized a big celebration to distribute orphans’ sponsorships for 137 orphans in the Gaza Strip yesterday. This celebration is a part of orphans’ sponsorship project that is funded by Alsadqa Tasi institution. Dr.Haifaa Alagha, Minister of Wome’s Affairs, Dr. Majed Yassin Ameen, secretary general of Rowad’s board of directors, Eng. Mohammed Abo Sido, society’s director, Mr. Majed Alzebda, member of board of directors, Mr. Aybak Alrabeii, responsible of Turkish document in the society and the welcomed orphans.

The celebration’s activities included Holy Quran, the society’s speech, the Minister‘s speech, poem, ode, folk dance, orphans’ speech, distribution of dessert, gifts and sponsorships of the attended orphans.

The Minister Haifaa Alagha explained for the audience the care of Islam and Quran about the orphans as the Prophet Mohammed, PBUH, says : “ I and the orphan’s sponsor will be together in the heaven” and she thanked all the participants in this celebration, especially Rowad Society for Social Development. From his side, Yassen said that Rwoad society undertakes the responsibility of supporting the orphans and alleviating their suffering under these difficult economic situations, particularly after the war of 2014, he also said that this project comes along with the society’s goals towards the orphans. It is worth mentioning that this sponsorship is distributed each 3 month by providing 150$ for the one orphan.
