Rowad launches "Pioneers" for youth and juniors

Rowad Association for Community Development launched in its office the training program "Pioneers" for youth and juniors. The opening ceremony was attended by:

  • Mr. Rabah Bakhet, head of board of directors
  • Dr. Riyad Qasem, a leader in the institutional domain in Gaza
  • Mr. Abdulnabi AL Rantisi, member of central committee for summer camps in Gaza
  • Mr. Mohammed Abu Sido, director of the association
  • Mr. Raed Al Saati, member of board of directors
  • Mr. Osama Abu Shanab, member of the steering committee for the program.

 

Mr. Bakeht talked about the program as a part of the developmental programs and projects that target youth in the Gaza Strip. The association aims to implement such programs, especially in the summer vacation to develop youth abilities in several fields. He also stressed that the association will continue in awakening young energies and providing them with all facilities to show their creativity.

From his side, Mr. Al Rantisi appreciated the distinct performance of the association in arranging these programs, which work on developing young outstanding personalities to be able to create and excel. He added that Gaza is in a desperate need for models that find creative solutions for our problems, particularly the imposed siege for years.

Mr. Qasem thanked the association for organizing this program and he said that the youth are our future. Thus, we should give them a good care through education and support, especially in the current time where distracters and corruption are widely spread. He said that such program comes in the summer vacation, which the youth should make use of not only in cultural sides, but also in sports as Caliph Omar Ben Khattab said "Teach your children swimming, archery and horse riding". Mr. Qasem called the association upon more efforts to support young people.

Mr. Abu Shanab talked about the nature of the program that includes many sides as skills, culture, Palestinian Cause, sports and entertainment. He added that these subjects would be discussed in the first phase of the program, which is 3 weeks. After that, the second phase starts in Ramadan and it has different subjects.
