Rowad Association for Community Development opened Martyr Hussam El Zumili's prayer room at Awni El Herthani basic school in northwest Gaza. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Rabah Bekhet, head of board of directors, undersecretary of ministry of Education, school principal and number of teachers of the school.

This project comes a part of association's developmental activities and policies in supporting the educational process and fulfilling Ministry of Education's slogan "A Prayer Room in every School". Mr. Bekhet talked about the importance of having a prayer room in schools to inculcate the pillar of praying and to encourage student to adhere to it, which is the fundamental pillar of Islam. He also promised for more activities and events that promote education.

From his side, undersecretary of Ministry of Education thanked Rowad and its staff for their continuing support in fields of charity and development actions, which aspire to community development and support the steadfastness of Gazans. Furthermore, he called upon Rowad to conduct more activities to develop the educational process for more prosperity and excellence.

In the same context, Rowad and the school administration honored excellent students as part of the encouragement process to motivate students to make more efforts and hard work, especially that liberating Palestine cannot be achieved without education and creativity. Education builds houses with no pillars, while ignorance destroys houses of honor and generosity.
