With funding from the Omani Initiative, Rowad Society for Social Development started secure home lighting, using led lighting, for needy families in the West of Gaza.

Dr.Majed Yaseen, the society’s secretary, said this project is one of others that Rowad implements to help the besieged Palestinian people suffering from the siege and its sequences as the power cut.

According to him, this project will alleviate the suffering of poor families whose house were burnt due to the use of candles which causes many causalities and deaths. For his side, Mr.Mohammed Abo Sido, the society’s director, thanked the Omani Initiative, Omani people and King of Oman Qaboos Bin Said for their continuous and great efforts for Gaza.
