With support from Viva, Rowad ended summer camp “Learn swimming and enjoy”

Gaza –Rowad Society for Social Development ended the summer camp entitled "Learn swimming and enjoy" through the implementation of a cultural center in the north of Gaza Strip funded by Viva Palestine Malaysia Foundation, where 130 students have graduated. Rowad organized a special graduation ceremony that was attended Mr. Ezzedine Dahnoun, head of Beit Lahiya municipality, Eng.Hani Thoria, the representative of Viva Palestina Malaysia Foundation, Mr. Mohammed Abu Sido, Rowad’s manager, and Mr. Amjad Tntah director of northern Gaza cultural Centre.

Eng. Mohammed Abu Sido said that this summer camp aims to teach students the main swimming skills including scuba diving, kayaking, float and other skills, and some high-skills such as jumping from heights and practice of distinct water movements, adding that this course give high fitness of students’ bodies as they moved all muscles of the body. He also confirmedthat this camp is in line with the noble objectives of Rowad in supporting the students in the domain of sport. For his side, Hany Thoria thanked Rowad society for its distinct performance and supervision of the summer camp, he also showed his admiration of students’ swimming indicating that Viva attaches attention to the psychological and recreational aspects of the Gazan students, and to draws a smile on their faces.
