As a part of its “ Benevolent loans”, Rowad funds barbershop

In the onset of 2015, Rowad Association for Community Development has inaugurated “ AlQard Al Hassan Fund” (benevolent loans) BLF  which aims at supporting and empowering the Palestinian youth in order to support the freelance work and eliminate unemployment. Given that the association called this year “ Community development year”, the BLF has funded barbershop as a micro-enterprise project to support one of the poor families.

 

Mr. Mohammed Abu Sido, the director of the association, stated that the program of “Community Development and Eliminating Poverty” which was implemented by Rowad matches with the association’s policy in improving the living conditions of the unemployed, especially the breadwinners of large families. He added that this project has special importance in light of the suffocating siege imposed on the strip, the high unemployment percentages and the destruction of the infrastructure of the Palestinian community. Therefore, Rowad implemented Funding micro-enterprises projects in accordance with the Islamic economic principles “Al Qard Al Hassan Fund” (benevolent loans) BLF.

 

The former mentioned that this project is part of a series of Rowad development projects which target the Palestinian people. He elaborated that this project is going to improve the living conditions of tens of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

 

Mr. Abu Sido added that BLF is going to target many spectrums in the Palestinian community, especially those who have good ideas for startups and experience in running them but they lack the capital.
