As the Israeli aggression reaches its13th day, Rowad distributes Iftar meals on the poor and displaced

Amid the hardships of ongoing siege and aggression and deteriorating economic situation that our Palestinian people in Gaza undergo, Rowad Association for Community Development has implemented Iftar project, as a part of its seasonal projects in the holy month of Ramadan. The project includes the distribution of tens of Iftar meals on poor and displaced families in  Gaza City due to the level of aggression.

Mohamed Abu Sido director of the association pointed out that the implementation the Iftar project aims to alleviate the suffering of our people trapped in the Gaza Strip who are facing these days a fierce war wiped out everything and everybody, and great hardship to provide for a living, as a result of the continuation of the blockade which has led to trapping most of Gazan families in abject poverty. Also, He also stressed on his association’s commitment towards supporting the needy families and serving the besieged Palestinian people at these critical times. Abu Sido also urged all the associations and philanthropists inside and outside Gaza Strips to support these poor families.

Abu Sido added that the association was assiduous on these days to deliver aid to a large number of needy families in the areas of aggression and border areas, which are now subject to the continued Israeli bombardment. It coordinated with several international destinations, in order to deliver aid to the poor and displaced by the bombing and to protect its field staff. To add, an increase in the number of displaced Palestinian families that cannot get access to its daily needs has been witnessed. Accordingly, they need to be supported  not only in the month of Ramadan, but in all months.

It is worth mentioning that Rowad Association has finished the distribution of hundreds of food parcels to poor families in the Gaza Strips in the past few days.
