Red Cross Manager, : "Gaza passes through unprecedented siege”

During the school day organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Mr.Mamadou Su, the manager of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Gaza, pointed out that Gaza is in a unprecedented state of siege and it is exposed to various disputes by the Israeli occupation which cannot be tolerated. He also indicated that police offices and prisons are targeted as well which increases the pressure on the authorities responsible for these unities.

 

“We live under difficult and exceptional circumstances in the Middle East and there are conflicts in the neighboring countries where the law is not respected”, he added.  

 

He also said that the committee has communicated with the government officials in the Gaza Strip stressing that the talks with them are highly appreciated and hoping such work will continue to benefit the humanity.
