Rowad distributes Iftat to the poor in Gaza City

As a part of its unique initiatives implemented in the holy month of Ramadan, Rowad Association for Comunity Development implemented the project of providing Iftar for fasters which includes distributing 150 meals for the impoverished families in Gaza city.

The director of the association, Mr.  Mohammed Abu Sido cleared that the implementation of Iftar project aims to alleviate the suffering of our besieged people in the Gaza Strip and who are facing great hardship to provide for a living as a result of the continuation of the blockade whichput mostGazan families in a vicious circle of abject poverty. Additionally, Abu Sido stressed that he and his association are going to support these families with all they have in order to fasten their steadfastness and alleviate their suffering. At the same time, he called on all institutions, charities and philanthropists and charity to support the poor family and extend a helping hand to them.

He added that the association, in coordination with other parties,focused on to deliver aid to a large number of needy families in marginalized suburbs in Gaza City, this year in order to be acquainted on the living conditions of those poor families. The results were shocking since there were an increase in the number of Palestinian families that cannotmake their living and lacks the basic needs. Therefore, they need to be helped not only in the month of Ramadan, but in all months.

From their part, the sponsored poor families expressed their thanks and appreciation for the directors’ and  Rowad’s contribution in providing them a good living in this holy month and demanded their constant efforts to mitigate their suffering.

It is worth mentioning that Rowad Association is preparing for the distribution of aid food parcels to poor families during the next few days.
