With donations from philanthropists of Kuwait, Rowad distributes $50.000 to the victims of the war as a first phase

Since the agreement of cease-fire, the field team of Rowad Society for Social Development started its field work including counting and recording the damages resulted from the last aggression on Gaza in different areas in Gaza, and this requires to record material damages such as houses and property.

 

After the process of recording and checking on the houses and property, Rowad distributed urgent financial aids that cost $50.000 to the owners of completely destroyed houses with donations from philanthropists in Kuwait. The aim of these aids is to afford temporary dwelling until the process of reconstruction.

Mr. RabahBkhiet, the chief of Rowad, indicated that the distribution of these financial aids aims at alleviating the burdens on the shoulders of stricken families noting that this step is a complement to a series of projects that Rowad Society implemented during the Israeli war. He asserted that the aids would ease off the suffering of stricken families living under hard economic situation which the strip is living as a result to the tightening siege in addition to the crippled condition of the Gaza Strip since over a month after the last war. Besides, Mr. Bkheitexplained that this is the first phase of the project, and the second one will be starting during the few coming days.

 

Furthermore, Mr. Mohammad Abo Seedo, the manager of Rowad expressed his appreciation to the philanthropists of Kuwait for their generous efforts calling up all of the philanthropists and charity societies inside and outside Palestine to further their support for Gazans, especially under the unprecedented hard conditions.
