Gaza – Rowad Society for Social Development received a relief Turkish delegation from Sadakatasi society from Turkey in the headquarters of Rowad at Gaza City.

The delegation was headed by Mr. Emra Enjen and it included: Mr.Taha Yaqoub, Mr.Farouk Bilal and Mrs. Zenab Bera Moglou and they entered via Erez crossing in the North of the Strip.

The delegation was received by Mr.Rabah Bekhiet, the society’s COB, Mr.Raed Alsa’aty, the society’s secretary, Eng. Mohammed Abosiod, the society’s manager, Mr.Ayybak Alrabey, the administrator of the Turkish issues, the board of directors and the society’s staffs.

At the beginning of the visit, Rowad’s chairman and staffs welcomed the delegation, stressing on the depth of Palestinian historical and strategic relations with Turkey, and praising the continued Turkish role and efforts to break the siege of Gaza, especially after the recent arrival of humanitarian aid convoy carrying 11 metric tons of food aid to Gaza, which would have a clear impact in alleviating the people’s burdens.

They also talked about as the Turkey's continuing effort to put forward solutions to break the siege of Gaza and the recent agreement, which included the establishment of desalination station and electricity station in Gaza.

In the same context, Bekhiet pointed out that this visit is to learn about the services and programs offered by Rowad and to deepen the ways of join cooperation between Sadakatasi institution and Rowad society in a way that serves the needy people in Gaza.

Bekhiet started his speech by presenting Rowad society and its relief and development projects and programs that target the needy families, he also talked about the distinctive role of Sadaqatasi in cooperation and partnership with Rowad to activate these projects confirming on the importance of the visit of the Turkish delegation to Gaza under these difficult economic conditions in the Gaza Strip, especially with the advent of Eid Al-Fiter which would reveal the sufferings and extreme poverty of the people of the Strip.

The visit program includes field distribution of food parcels to the needy families with participation of the Board of the Directors and the staffs of Rowad, attendance of the collective breakfast and distribution of Ed clothes to the orphans sponsored by Sadakatasi at Al-Mirlanad Hall. The celebration includes some parts like: Quran recitation, poems recitation and the speech of chairman of Rowad who welcomed the delegation and thanked them for their great efforts in supporting the Gazans.

For the delegation’s speech, Mr.Emra talked about the role of Sadakatasi in implementing relief and humanitarian projects that target the Palestinian families with cooperation of Rowad and he said that Rowad is the link between Sadakatasi and these marginalized categories expressing his happiness to be in Gaza and his gratitude for the warm reception from the part or Rowad.

During the celebration, the delegation distributed the Eid clothes to the orphans and the celebration was ended by distributing shields of gratitude to the Turkish delegation for their efforts, supplication, having the breakfast meals and visiting some of orphans’ houses.

It’s worth mentioning that the Turkish institution “Sadakatasi” is considered as the principle donor for the development and relief projects of Rowad.
